I interviewed my dad, part 3.
Ray O'Kelly is a 35+ year outside sales pro who has seen it all.
I'm embarrassed to say, I had never interviewed my dad before.
Why?
Well, I was always pedal to the floor and when I visited with friends and family, I wanted to discuss ANYTHING that wasn't about my sales or business.
So, it was merely platitudes and one-word responses. I realized that as I aged and had children of my own, learning from the past is critical to pass knowledge along and communicating with people who care about you is important.
I rectified that immediately with the 2 hour sit down with my dad.
He discussed his success, the timeless principles of selling, how to treat people, growth of the industry and how to navigate it.
