The goal in sales is to sell your product or service, right?
Well, yes and no.
Ideally, it would be great to have your product or service in the hands of every prospect you speak with.
But realistically, this won't work every time.
Sometimes, your product or service isn't the correct solution for the buyer.
But, even if they don't buy from you, the goal is to set up as many strong relationships as possible, by becoming the person that has answers to any given problem a buyer might have.
The best way to do this is this:
- Get them out of their environment and have a human-to-human conversation.
No pitches, no BS, just two people, (or more if they bring their associates) having a conversation about who they are and why the do what they do.
Do this thing first, and they will always view you as a notch above your competition and someone they will want to be in business with.
